MS Chellamuthu Trust and Research Foundation is a Non-Profit Organization founded in the year 1992 by Dr. C. Ramasubramanian, a well-known Consultant Psychiatrist in Madurai, with a mission to promote mental health through holistic mental health care, that is affordable and accessible to all.

MS Chellamuthu Trust and Research Foundation initiated this exclusive institution MS Chellamuthu Institute of Mental Health and Rehabilitation in the year 2008, with a vision to ensure that mental health services are available and affordable to all the needy and to promote leadership in mental health.
Since its inception, the institution has been involved in creating opportunities to develop and strengthen the skills and competency of the mental health practitioners and prospective mental health professionals.
